2023 Meadow MoCA Gala, Market Street Studio, Ellenville, NY.
Fundraiser for the High Meadow School (HMS)

I have spent two years developing and teaching a visual arts curriculum that introduces entrepreneurship, giving and philanthropy to students ages three to thirteen, by deepening students' understanding of the impact their own creativity can make towards positive change in the world.  I am a co-founder, primary teacher & committee member of Meadow MoCA (Museum of Contemporary Art). The HMS Gala is the annual culminating event of a week-long celebration of the arts, and an important fundraiser for the school in which student-made artworks are auctioned off. The videos below show the student exhibition.

Fundraiser for Urban River Arts

In 2009 I founded and opened the community based non-profit art organization, Urban River Arts, in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Through individual and group activities, in partnership with museums and cultural organizations all over NYC, our curriculum engaged people of all ages from diverse backgrounds. Danny Simmon’s, Cooridor Gallery hosted the first Urban River Arts fundraiser in 2010 highlighting 100 portraits of Obama. Artists received 50% of proceeds from each sale.
